International Babywearing Week: October 10-16, 2011

Carrier Speed Dating @ Magic Beans Brookline
Thanks to Magic Beans and the awesome staff at the Brookline store for a great night! The event end up a little smaller than we originally planned, but it worked out perfect. Attendees had great fun moving around the store speed dating their way through the world of baby carriers. This new and interactive way of learning was such an interesting change from our usual BW101 that it's definitely something we will do again in the future! So be on the look out for us to come back Brookline and even visit the new store coming to Boston in November.

Monthly Meeting with Stash Show, Tell, and Sell
Thanks to Community Wellness at MIT Medical for hosting yet another successful monthly meeting! We always have a great time at MIT. For anyone still interested in selling carriers, we are considering doing another one soon, so let us know your thoughts. Also, if anyone would like to get in touch with Susanne who had an absolutely amazing stash available for sale at the meeting, please email us for her contact information.

Babywearing Basics @ Isis Parenting Boston
We had a great time at Isis, thanks to the Boston store for having us and thanks to all who joined. Isis' Expert Speaker series is such a great fit for our educational information and we would love to go back. We are thinking about doing Advanced Babywearing for our next class, so feel free to email us your ideas for what advanced info you would like to learn about!

Flash Mob
We had the best Babywearing Flash Mob ever in Boston on Friday! It was awesome! Special thanks to our leader Erin for all her hard working figuring out lyrics and the dance, plus rehearsals. We couldn't have done it without her. Haven't seen the videos yet? Check out our homepage. More videos and still pics to come as we collect them from members.

First Annual BW Celebration and Fundraiser
More special thanks to Community Wellness at MIT Medical for hosting not one, but two events at MIT this week! We greatly appreciate them sponsoring us to come to campus and letting us use MIT space for free!
Thanks also our awesome performers who kept our party hopping and dancing with fun kid's music--Jeff Jam, Shannon Taylor and Jeannie Mack.
Our raffle was a huge success so a final thanks to all who bought raffle tickets. We gave away over 40 amazing prizes and raised over $1,000 for our organization!
